This page sets out the privacy policy, portfolio attribution, credits and terms of use for the Ivy Studio website ("the Site"). "Ivy Studio", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Ivy Studio, Kathmandu, Nepal.

By using the Site you agree to the terms on this page. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Information we collect. The public Site has no sign-up forms or payment features. We only receive personal information you choose to send us — for example your name, email address, phone number and message when you email or call us.

Client accounts. We operate a private client area where we deliver finished work. Accounts there are created by us for clients we already work with — there is no public sign-up. For each account we hold a username, a display name, a password stored only as a one-way hash, the dates access begins and ends, and a log of sign-ins and downloads so we can answer questions about delivery. Uploaded photographs and video are stored with our media provider and are reachable only while an account's access period is open.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of a visit. This is used only to keep the Site running, secure and performant.

Cookies. The Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser may store small technical data (such as cached video or fonts) needed for the Site to work. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first.

How we use information. We use information you send us only to reply to your enquiry, discuss a potential project, and keep ordinary business records. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

Consent and lawful use. In line with the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal, we collect personal information only with your knowledge and consent, and use it only for the purpose it was provided. Where visitors from other regions (such as the EU/UK under the GDPR) contact us, we process their information on the basis of consent and our legitimate interest in responding to them.

Sharing. We share information only with service providers who help us operate (such as email and hosting providers), or where required by law, court order or a competent authority.

Retention and security. We keep correspondence only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was sent or as required by law, and take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it. Client account records are kept for the life of the account and a reasonable period afterwards for our business records; delivered media is retained or removed according to the access period agreed with that client. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Your rights. You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent at any time, by emailing ivystudio.life@gmail.com.

Children. The Site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Third-party links. Links to social platforms or other sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, projects shown on the Site were not produced by Ivy Studio as a company. They were originally produced by third parties — such as production companies, agencies, former employers or clients (for example MayaMatrix Production, Kathmandu, Nepal, and fromSilicon). They feature work by individuals who are now part of Ivy Studio, in roles including camera work, cinematography, photography, videography, scriptwriting, editing and other creative work.

These projects are shown solely to illustrate the individual experience, skills and past contributions of our team members. Their inclusion is not a claim, express or implied, that Ivy Studio produced, owns, commissioned or was contracted for these productions.

All rights in these projects — including copyright in footage, photographs, sound, music and scripts — remain with their original producers, the respective clients and/or other rights holders. Ivy Studio claims no ownership of them.

Projects may be added, updated or removed from the Site over time. Any producers named on this page are examples only; a producer not being named does not mean Ivy Studio produced or owns a project.

Where a project page lists credits, those credits describe individual roles and do not describe a contractual relationship between Ivy Studio and the client or brand.

Brand names, logos, event names and trademarks that appear in or are referenced by these projects belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement of Ivy Studio.

If you are a rights holder and would like a project credited differently or removed, please contact us (see Takedown requests) and we will act promptly.

A big thank you to fromSilicon for kindly giving us permission to show videos created by one of our Ivy Studio team members. We’re grateful for their support.

The layout and visual structure of this Site were designed with reference to the website of Sadu Media (sadumedia.com), a production company whose web design we admire.

The reference was limited to general layout ideas. No images, videos, logos, source code, written content or other assets from Sadu Media were copied or used. All code on the Site was written independently, and all text, footage and media are our own or are credited as described above.

Ivy Studio is not affiliated with, associated with, endorsed by or connected to Sadu Media in any way. Any similarity in layout is an acknowledgement of inspiration, not a claim of association.

Except for third-party material described above, the Site's original text, code, design and branding belong to Ivy Studio. You may view and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, but may not copy, reproduce or redistribute its content without written permission.

Third-party names, trademarks and works shown on the Site remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.

If you believe any material on the Site infringes your rights, or is attributed incorrectly, email ivystudio.life@gmail.com with: your name and contact details, the material concerned and where it appears on the Site, the basis of your claim (e.g. proof of ownership), and what you would like us to do.

We will acknowledge valid requests promptly and, where appropriate, remove or amend the material while the matter is reviewed. We take these requests seriously and act in good faith.

The Site and its content are provided "as is" for general information only. We make no warranties about its accuracy, completeness or availability, and project descriptions may be summarised or illustrative.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ivy Studio is not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the Site or linked third-party sites.

Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer or a binding agreement. Any engagement with Ivy Studio is subject to a separate written agreement.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed; continued use of the Site means you accept the updated version.
